Flitting about
Both my images scored seventeen last night so I didn't disgrace myself, but I will have slipped further down the ladder so to speak.
I had a bad night's sleep and have felt shattered all day but the sun was shining so I dragged myself out for a walk. I did notice that the new cut-through at the back of the second playing field is just a mass of mud so would appear to be over-used.
This little willow warbler didn't seem bothered and was flitting quickly between the branches of the pine trees. I am assuming it is a willow warbler but it could be an overwintering chiffchaff. Not a brilliant image but the best I could get.
My PC is causing me problems. It starts up and I get the first screen but when I click on it to get to the sign on page the screen goes blank. I left it on for an hour or so and it's working again, but I've run off a few things that could be vital in case it dies. I've also cleared out my recycle bin again.
The sparrowhawk was in again this afternoon, so camera in hand, shoes changed, door unlocked, I went towards it and got within ten feet without it batting an eyelid. It then dived into the shrubs, chased a great tit which got away and went back to sitting on the fence before eventually flying off to the neighbours roof.
