How to build a cattle pen!

This Man is a volunteer for the National Trust and he told us how to build an enclosure based on hundreds of years experience. Not his of course.

1. Stick 2 stakes in the ground a yard apart.

2. Repeat several yards apart on a gentle curve to form an enclosure.

3. Fill the space with wood debris any size and pack down to form an enclosure.

4. Fill with cattle who will clear the ground

5. Within the enclosure there are trees which are coppiced every seven years creating the material for the enclosure and feeding the cattle.
