Panning practice

The weather was bright so I went over to Gummer's How and walked up to the summit.  It was noticeable how wet the ground was and how many trees were damaged by Storm Eowyn.
There are lovely views from Gummer's How but there is also the added fascination of watching the fast jets practicing their low level flying below you.  This is an Embraer Phenom aircraft which is used by the RAF to train pilots for multi-engined jets.  Blown up on my big computer screen I can see just how hard the student is concentrating!
Rather than playing it safe with a very fast shutter speed I decided to try my luck and practice panning the camera at a more modest shutter speed in order to show the speed of the aircraft.
