Tuesday

A dry cool morning greeted us, the sun tried its best but a mass of moisture needed to spread itself out across the entire country and so it shone on the opposite side of the clouds until mid afternoon.
We headed straight for the woods as best we could, dodging small flocks of woolly creatures. Homemade suet and seed filled coconut halves hung before heading to friends for a scurry around their fields together with three springer spaniels. Peppermint tea accompanied by freshly baked banana and apple cake was enjoyed as the wind blew and rain battered on the roof and windows. A quick visit to se Bella and Reggie Dippy’s mum and dad on the way to find some sheltered trails for a good long walk. The Tarka trail provided the perfect place. After half an hour the clouds cleared to the east, the watery sun brightened up the wonderful surroundings as Dippy explored every nook and cranny.
Back to Amadeus for some much needed nourishment and for Dippy to crash out in his basket.
Zzzzz
