Not exciting!

I spent Monday in hospital having tests. I waited all day for a scan and was told that the doctor would talk to me about it afterwards. But the doc wasn’t available, so I have to wait until Thursday when I have to go in again for more tests. They don!t yet seem to know the cause of my ‘acute kidney injury’.

I needed a taxi to get to the hospital and it cost £35 each way. I spent a lot of time today trying to get help with transport but they all want two weeks notice. I wasn’t even ill two weeks ago so there’s nothing I can do about it.

The photo shows the exciting screen view and my drip stand, plus the ‘food’ I was given for lunch. Hospital catering staff don’t seem to understand vegan food. I never ate ordinary bacon but this stuff was like salted cardboard. I was then offered ice cream. ‘But I’m vegan’ I said. ‘Ice cream isn’t meat’ I was told. I suppose it was a luxury to get brown bread!
