In the Kitchen
It's been raining the proverbial cats and dogs all day today so it's a good thing that the TT challenge was 'from the kitchen'. This is the best I could do
The torrential rain and wind hasn't done much for my state of mind. I had hoped that I wouldn't have to just rant about the political train wreck that is our current government, but after reading Blipper DDon's apology, I have decided that no matter how powerless we feel, we still have the power to speak out. And we must. So I have an apology of my own to fellow Blippers. I will be writing my thoughts about what is going on, for my own sanity if nothing else. I don't know how or why 33% (for it is only 33%...hardly a mandate, not that it matters anymore) of the voters in this country voted for such a pathetic, unbalanced, misguided and irrational person. It has been anaylsed and parsed every which way, but no rational person has been able to explain the irrational. But I feel constrained to talk about it. Hopefully not every day.
Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, in the guise of 'eliminating waste in government' has now effectively taken it over to do with as he likes. He isn't a government employee but a presidential appointee, so he can do the Felon's dirty work for him so he doesn't have to take the blame. And nobody seems to be willing or able to stop him. Where are the Democrats? Where are the sane Republicans? A cartel of 'techno bros' and mad MAGA cronies have staged a coup and hijacked our government. I wish I knew...
I leave you with a quote:
The people who now dominate the executive branch of the government...are acting quite deliberately, to destroy the nation. Think of the federal government as a car. You might have thought the election was like getting the car serviced. Instead, when you come into the shop, the mechanics, who somehow don't look like mechanics, tell you that they have taken the parts of your car that work and sold them and kept the money. And that this was the most efficient thing to do. And that you should thank them

The rain has ceased, the sun is peeking out from underneath a dark cloud just as it is about to go down. I hope this isn't another metaphor, but everything looks like one right now.
