A leisurely start for two of us this morning, while JR went to one gym session just across the road.

The weather didn’t look too promising, but we set off regardless. Got pretty wet, it must be said. But we popped in to Canopy, in the old hospital building for a cuppa.

From there, the others went on into town, while Archie and I popped in to another cafe because it was pouring - we chose the wrong time to leave!

When we got home, Archie and I dried off, and then we both had a snooze until we got a text later to meet the others at the pub in Bruntsfield, where we enjoyed a glass or two of wine. Archie really wanted to join in.

He and I came home, while the others walked on down the road and then home.

JR then flung together a lovely meal of yesterday’s salmon, flaked, lots of greens, crumbed feta cheese and a very nice dressing.
