Sharing Carbonara
Out for lunch in Birmingham City Centre meeting up with an ex teaching colleague today. It was an excellent Italian meal in Chamberlain square outside the Museum and Art Gallery. We shared Foccaccia, mozzarella and pesto to start with and followed with a sharing spaghetti carbonara served at the table from the centre of a Parmesan cheese. It was very tasty. The interior of the restaurant was spectacular with floor to exceptionally high ceiling stacked high with full bottles of many types of drinks, plants hanging from the ceiling, luxurious drapes and lots of fascinating paintings and other works of art.
Seating was a bit close but we will definitely go again if only to try the 6 inch high lemon meringue pie…
