Mallard keeping her feet dry!

This fallen tree trunk used to be on the river bank of the White Cart ..... not now! So much rain during the night that the river had burst its banks but fortunately for us dog walkers the water was still a couple of inches from the path.

The Mallards were having a great time with so many new watery areas to explore ..... the current in the centre of the river was very strong so most of the birds were happier on what had been the river bank.
