Dog, tired

As I looked at the way Stella was occupying her bed, it struck me that we rarely use the word "gainly". 

She's been knackered all day after Andy took her to the beach yesterday. 

I was a bit sad when he told me she was no longer interested in going for a swim in the sea. But I suppose none of us is getting any younger.
