The Last Day
To visit the Turner Bequest Exhibition (complete with Irish contribution). This is held in the National Gallery of Scotland in Edinburgh.
Today’s photo was taken just before we entered the Gallery. The queue was long. The queue was very long. The queue was extremely long.
It took us over four hours to visit what was essentially one room of about forty paintings and drawings.
There is quite a number of exhibition rooms in the gallery and the queue could have been run through some of the other galleries.
Pat really enjoyed the forty paintings or so and learned quite a lot about Turner’s techniques. I enjoyed being with Pat as she enjoyed the paintings.
Today’s photo is taken just before the queue enters the gallery.
Yes the sky was very blue.
After we left the gallery we visited the Apple Store to collect our new Apple TV which is really a black box. The previous one had finally ‘ceased to be’ and ‘bereft of life’ it was useless.
The Apple TV is a marvellous device which allows a wide range of TV services to be displayed on our TV screen.
After leaving the Apple Store we walked and bused our way back to the Car which was parked at the Royal Botanic Gardens. Of course it was now dark and very cold.
We drove home and while Pat prepared our meal I plugged into the Apple TV. It immediately recognised my iPhone and asked to attach itself to my/our account. Thereafter it connected itself into the system and broadband. Very easy and very Apple.
The next time we visit Edinburgh I will take the defunct black Apple TV along with some other bits and pieces to the Apple Store to be recycled.
