Getting better
Despite being swamped by suburban housing, the Plough Green area of Worcester Park has maintained some of its character.
There is the large, eponymous green itself, The Plough pub - now a Miller and Carter restaurant that has just about held onto its original name - and this pond, as well as parade of shops.
I have seen fish in the pond - but only once in forty-five years - and at one point there was a rumour that there was a mini sunk in there.
I'm not sure where the money has come from to renovate it, but it's looking good, including what appears to be little viewing platform.
