Botanical Gardens

I took a detour through Timaru's Botanical Gardens on my way from my Tuesday early morning supermarket shop.  Generally, I try to go on a Tuesday as they offer a 5% discount for 'oldies'. 
It was definitely a mono sort of a day, drizzling and rather winterish !!

Better news from Townsville today, rain easing and water levels reducing slowly.  Certainly not returning to evacuated areas but more positive.  Schools continue to be closed,  supermarket shelves have been emptied, the main road both sides of Townsville are closed, one bridge has been washed away. The airport is open again.  Nasty things have been seen in the wrong places, like snakes and crocodiles, eck!!

....added later  - Lexi back to school tomorrow. They went and looked at the Ross River weir, water gushing over, usually nothing. (extra)
