A bit of a change

Had a change of scenery today and went to Ogden Water Country Park which is probably closer to home than St Ives Estate.
Parking is always a bit of a problem here but I managed to nab the last disabled spot.
Sallied forth with trekking poles in hand and my first encounter was with the cutest little Jack Russel you’ve ever seen. I immediately had thoughts of The Grotbag who I still miss to this day. The thing about Jack Russels is that you never know whether they are going to lick you to death or bite your hand off so I didn’t push my luck.
Had a lovely little walk on terrain a bit more challenging than St Ives and I think the change of scenery did me good. Loved the smell of the old Christmas trees as I walked beside the reservoir. I think the water authorities use them as a form of flood defence.
