Click and collect

Young people, eh? No takers for the paper round so the shop had to give it up so my job this morning was to take the bike up to the shop to collect the paper. 12 minutes. Not much but it wakes you up, especially the bit where you get to whee down the cobbled hill.

Some morning pottering and since it wasn't raining I loaded the big box onto the tray at the back, grabbed a couple of Aldi bags and headed off on the bike to Dunfermline for the Tesco shop. An hour there and back. Not sure you could do it much quicker in the car. I'll find out next time it's raining.

It's not been used much lately so you forget what good fun that bike is, pootling along up the hills and rolling down them with a week's worth of grub.
