Mistletoe Mono Mania!

Mono Monday "Green in Black and White" finds me at this beleaguered tree on the edge of the village.

It's not clear precisely what type of tree is is, perhaps an old apple tree... What is clear is that it is so over-run by mistletoe that it's shedding branches under the weight of the symbiont and sadly will probably fail entirely in the next few years.

My Parish Clerk remains sedated in ICU; her heart and lungs operating without assistance, although the medical paraphernalia is still connected, just in case. I'm trying to stay clear and let her family get on with the important stuff, while trying to keep all the parish council balls in the air.

So, I met the local Funeral Director this afternoon, and marked out the plot for a cremated remains interment on Wednesday. That's a priority for another family, and I want them to find our service transparent of all the current difficulties. There's another one due in early March.

The world in in perpetual crisis now. These matters are small beer on a planetary scale, but we are human; we focus on the immediate. May we be blessed by but never overburdened by mistletoe. /|\
