Retro bar

After a day of paperwork, we took a bus to Wimbledon and then the District Line to Embankment, as the mainline train wasn't running. We met friends at the Retro Bar near The Strand, where I took a photo of the walls adorned with pictures and artwork of gay icons, illuminated by colourful fairy lights. We had a drink, chatted about their Christmas abroad, but had to leave before bingo started due to dinner reservations.

We celebrated Chinese New Year, marking the year of the Wood Snake, symbolising wisdom and intuition, with dinner at Din Tai Fung in Covent Garden that included drunken chicken, steamed buns, ShaoMai, egg fried rice, and sweet desserts. It was a lovely evening.
