A Grand Day Out
Since I needed to be in London, it seemed entirely appropriate to make a small detour to Paddington Station to add to the collection of Gromits I photographed and blipped last month. This brings my Gromit collection to 46 (out of a possible 80), and I suspect that other distractions will ensure that I don't make it back to Bristol to collect more before the event ends.
Aardman reference aside, it was really satisfying day out in London.
Visited the Natural History Museum to see the truly awesome images by Sebastião Salgado - the exhibition is on until 8th September, if you are anywhere near, do go to it. And while you're at it, just next door at the Royal Geographical Society is the Travel Photographer of the Year exhibition (until 18th August). Both are really fascinating image collections.
Having got my photographic fix for the day, I spent the afternoon at the One Spirit Interfaith Seminary ordination ceremony, which was a really lovely event. SusannaHelen has just completed the first year, so hopefully she'll be getting ordained this time next year.
