Storm Éowyn

Pics from daughter Kate in Ireland, learning to cope without electricity. She did experience it as a 7 year old back in 1987 after the Michael Fish Storm devastated southern England. Back then we didn't have electricity for a week.

Luckily after lots if driving around, they found a working petrol station to fill up cans for their generator. Dozens of extension leads leading to the house for essential equipment but have for instance had to buy a cheap small 1000W air-fryer. Loads of bottles of water filled as they have to use the generator to work the pump.

Real blessing though is their motorhome which has a gas hob and oven as well as a shower with hot water. In the housr they have a log fire for heat.
