Hill Top Ramblings

In the greenhouse…

We had a bit of a struggle today, trying to re-site the old greenhouse. I felt that a layer of weed proof membrane would be good on the floor, so that required an expedition to ToolStore. David next door gave us a hand lifting it into its new position, but the bottom corners had come loose from their bolts and were waving around. Then we noticed that it needed to rest on batons, which we didn’t have.
So another trip to get those. Then a lot of jiggling to try and square things up, but eventually Rob fixed it down and it seems good and solid.
We were too exhausted to go any further but tomorrow I will give the aluminium a good clean and maybe try to get some of the glazing inserted. That will be the real test of our skills!
I am excited to have it finally in a location where it will receive plenty of light, as previously it was down in the courtyard and rather shaded.
Rob hopes his efforts will be rewarded with wonderful veg!!
