Feeding The Birds

Top left: dark-eyed junco, American goldfinch
Top right: male northern cardinal, white-throated sparrow
Bottom right: tufted titmouse
Bottom left: American goldfinch, Carolina chickadee

To me the most interesting one is the dark-eyed junco because they are "ground feeders" and typically don't seem to get on the feeders, even the "platform" feeders that are designed to attract ground feeders. But there it was, up on one of the feeders. I guess needs must - all the food on the ground had been snarfed up.

I was also amused by the cardinal and white-throated sparrow sitting briefly side by side on a branch.
