Rydw i newydd wedi dechrau cwrs ffotograffig byr iawn, dim ond pum diwrnod ar-lein. Pryd bynnag rydw i'n edrych ar bethau fel hyn, rydw i'n cael fy atgoffa bob amser o bethau y dylwn eu gwybod yn barod. Beth yw'r pwnc y ffotograff? Sut ydych chi'n gwneud i'r pwnc sefyll allan? Dylwn i fod yn meddwl fel hyn trwy'r amser ond rydw i'n anghofio. Mae'n dda cael nodyn atgoffa, mae'n dda i ddechau dysgu eto. Felly'r ffotograff heddiw ydy hen hydrangea gyda'r cefndir yn aneglur.

I've just started a very short photography course, just five days online. Whenever I look at things like this, I'm always reminded of things I should already know. What is the subject of the photograph? How do you make the subject stand out? I should be thinking like this all the time but I forget. It's good to have a reminder, it's good to start learning again. So today's photograph is an old hydrangea with the background blurred.

Today is Mary's Festival of the Candles or Mary's Festival of the Start of Spring. (https://nation.cymru/feature/gwyl-fair-y-canhwyllau-marked-across-wales-today/) I didn't know this was celebrated on the 2nd of February. We're starting to see signs of Spring in the garden, so it's good to know that the garden and the Welsh calendar agree.
