Grumpy Old Man

Oranges and lemon

A wet start to the day, but it improved and we had a fair bit of sunshine. I did think about sitting out with a book later on, but it was just too cold and I'm still feeling groggy.

I did some reading indoors and finished my poetry selection for the u3a next week. I also updated my reading challenge on the Goodreads website. Last year I'd challenged myself to read 180 books, but I only managed 151 - though I probably missed out a few. This year I'm restricting myself to 150 - 14 so far.

Thinking about a Blip I wandered into the kitchen where MrsM was preparing to make a batch of marmalade. I nice colourful box of fruit - probably the brightest bit of colour around and my Blip today.

Quote of the Day: ‘My folks were English. They were too poor to be British. I still have a bit of British in me. In fact my blood type is solid marmalade.' - Bob Hope.
