Farewell
This ‘Blip’ follows from my one of the 24th, today our lifeboat of the last 23 years left Falmouth for the last time.
Coffee first with Richard but with a plan to head off to Pendennis Point by 1215 to watch her leave. A last minute hitch meant I left Richards slightly later than planned and I hadn’t anticipated that there would be that many people there resulted in today’s photo being of the rear of the boats leaving.
The extra is from around an hour earlier as the flotilla headed for its sail past Gyllyngvase Beach.
Gone she might be but it’ll be a good while before she is forgotten.
I headed out to Devoran in the afternoon to give the gig a once over on my own in the peace & quiet. Work is progressing quicker than I anticipated but may slow when the more intricate inside gets started.
Six Nations in the evening, early start this year.
