Morston

I met JohnRH and W for a lovely walk this morning from Morston to Blakeney and back, with a stop at the Blakeney Hotel for a cuppa. My car needed de-icing before leaving and the coast roads were icy and ungritted, but provided you drove carefully it was ok. It was lovely and sunny on the walk, a glorious morning, and lovely to see so many people out for a walk on the way back. We also saw a large flock of geese fly over, I've added a photo to Extras - I estimate there were between two and three hundred birds flying over. When we arrived back at the quay, I walked on a bit further and got this photo with the old Lifeboat Station in the background. It was closed in 1935 due to the introduction of motor-powered lifeboats nearby, and is now the National Trust visitor centre for Blakeney Point.
