Threesome……

A little grouping of three African Irises. Aka “Dietes iridioides”. Also known as the “Fortnight Lily”, this delicate wee plant is native to South Africa. Plants of it are growing in a plot of native plants under the Lop-Sided Pine in the Taylor River Reserve. I love these flowers, especially as they are cleverly toned in New Zealand’s Women’s Suffrage colours of purple, gold and white.
