Hermit Beach

A beautiful day for the hermitage foreshore walk from Rose Bay to Neilsen Park return. The beach at Nielsen Park was closed last time but has recently re-opened with a new seawall, renovated kiosk and spruced-up historic buildings. The small harbour beaches and coves along the way were almost as popular. This one is named for the grand gothic revival house up the hill behind it rather than, as I’d hoped, an actual hermit.
