Sister of Mercy
Was thoroughly fed up today (again). Angus is working all weekend, I have loads of PR work to do yet Audrey needed entertaining and I couldn't face the whole day at home, especially as the sun was shining.
So called Jo. And she came to the rescue. She gave me a plan. Lunch in East Dids at the new Expo Lounge restaurant. Audrey and I took the long way round via the water park and the ducks (she has been obsessed ever since our holiday and makes a quacking noise at any opportunity).
Unfortunately however the restaurant is new so it was full to the brim with eager customers and had a long wait on food. Jo witnessed first hand how difficult it is to keep a one year old entertained. She wouldn't sit in the highchair, she swiped everything off the table, she was constantly trying to get down on the floor to crawl in front of waitresses and other diners legs and was a proper little pain jitterbug. Sometimes I do wonder if eating out is really worth it :(
It was just the escape I needed though and I was grateful to Jo for breaking my day up. Then it was back home for a few hours work while Audrey slept before baking some carrot, sultana and pineapple muffins for tea. They were for Audrey but I already demolished three. Oops.
