Looking Across....
...the lake today with sadness and growing anger to what was formerly our friendly neighbour and ally - the US of A. I cannot see how things will ever be the same...and that is what is really sad.....
I am writing this while waiting for our Prime Minister its address the nation tonight and outline what our response will be to Trump's tariffs. Fortunately I took my blood pressure earlier this afternoon...
I ended up at the lake this morning as it was en-route home from the lab where I had some bloodwork done - bloodwork that I hope will be encouraging, or at least explain what is going on in my lethargic body!
It was a cold morning - minus 12C - so it was not a long visit, but I did get a good walk in and am learning to love my hiking poles. It is taking some getting used to, but I do feel more like I am on more solid ground with them!
The scenery was pretty much the same as it was the other day, but it never fails to inspire...and offer up a lot of blip-ops. I could not resist including a repeat of my Ducks-Framed-in-Icicles blip as I think I managed to get said icicles in better focus this time? (extra) :))
It is time now to tune in to CBC for the Prime Minister's address. I may not sleep tonight....
