Some things

A good friend of mine was burgled last night. They came home at 1am to find their family car gone, their door forced open most of their belongings taken. To add insult to injury the criminals had even rifled the kids bedrooms and left mayhem and chaos with no drawer left unturned.
Disgusting and appalling, you can only hope they get caught, but how likely is that?
The sickening thing is she lost both her parents last year and some of the things taken can never be replaced, sentimental value and dear memories will be traded for a few quid by some thieving scumbags who think they have a right to take what is not theirs. To distress the children, cause goodness knows how many weeks of turmoil with the insurance, to have increased premiums next year, the heartbreak of stolen memories. They really have no moral compass as to what it should be like to live in a civilised society.
