A day in the life

Shakespeares dream

The main event for today was surely when me and the usual friends went to see Johan Bernander in the play he has been writing and working on for several months now, "Shakespeares dream". I was given the task of arranging, and recording the 15 songs that was going to be in the play. Music composed by Shakespeares contemporaries, like John Dowland and John Johnson but also music composed by Johan himself. It has been a challenge but great fun and it turned out well. Tonight I was going to see the play for the first time and it was absolutely brilliant.

The concept is that we follow Shakespeare through the process of writing "A midsummer night's dream". He reasons around the plot and rehearse some of the words he "makes up", to see if they work, with his fellow actors on stage, the puppets (first extra). The audience is with him from first second and stays through the play. I have to see it again.

Before leaving for the play I had time to go for my walk, we had a most wonderful, sunny day when the birds started working on their spring repertoir. I call the last extra "Big Blue"
