Saturday - Birthday
It's my 64th birthday which, quite frankly, seems unbelievable!
I received lots of gifts and cards and I feel very fortunate.
Hetty had a longer walk this morning and then Clive and I caught the bus to Bath.
We had tickets for "Ghost Stories" matinee at the Theatre Royal. All the blurb suggested it was going to be tense and frightening but it wasn't. There were some very loud bangs and lots of screaming. I feel, had they been less in your face, the tension may have worked for me. Much of the audience, however, screamed along! The staging was very inventive and clever.
The exit was into Beaufort Square, oft seen on Bridgerton. The dressing rooms are clearly on the first floor and we could see straight in and one of the actors getting changed!
Afterwards, we had tapas at Bardacious and then the 6.45 bus home.
Usually we visit Bath during the week. There's clearly a different vibe on a Saturday. The city was very much alive and well.
Once home, we considered going straight out to see Live music in town this evening but, really, I've had enough for one day.
