Grange-over-Sands Promenade

Today was my husband’s 60th birthday and we went for lunch at Rogan and Co. in Cartmel. This is the cheaper of the two restaurants owned by Simon Rogan with his multiple Michelin stars.
We have been to both his restaurants before and as you would expect, they are both excellent.
Today’s menu was delicious and despite the portions being rather small, we’d both had plenty to eat and felt quite full by the end of the meal. Perfectly judged.
To walk off some of the calories, we took a stroll along the promenade at Grange. It’s a nice flat walk and in the sunshine it was very pleasant indeed.
