1074 day of war
Hello friends!
The past few days have been pretty tough—rockets and drones keep coming at night, and today we had to wake up super early and stay in shelters until around 8 AM.
We’re all really exhausted from the war and the constant air raid sirens, but at least the weather has been surprisingly warm this winter. It’s a small relief that we’re not dealing with major power outages like in previous years.
Lately, there’s been way too much talk about elections, and it honestly worries me. At the start of the war, all political forces came together to help the country survive, but now that unity is slowly falling apart. There are more conflicts between parties and pre-election debates popping up everywhere. I do believe that negotiations might happen soon, but it feels way too early to focus on elections while Russians keep advancing in Donbas, capturing villages, and shelling frontline areas every day.
Overall, I’ve been feeling pretty drained and struggling to keep up with everything I want to do. I started keeping a notebook to write down my tasks and set small weekly challenges for myself. It’s actually helped a lot—I’ve gotten more done and haven’t forgotten anything important. This week’s challenge was to exercise every day, and today marks a full week of sticking to it. I think it’s making a difference, at least mentally, just knowing that I can push myself to follow through on my plans. Even when I feel lazy or short on time, I try not to give up.
There’s not much work right now, so I’m focusing on taking care of myself and staying strong. Of course, I hope for peace and negotiations, but I know it won’t happen as quickly or smoothly as we’d like. At least winter is flying by—just one more month to go. I usually feel much better in the spring, so I’m holding on to that thought.
We’re all waiting for something to finally change, for things to start moving towards peace, because living through this war is getting harder—physically and mentally. Hoping for the best.
