Magical Ski Touring Day …

… up to the Summit of the Point de Bellevue (extra). We realised that the new snow was just deep enough to be able to do this peak today and once we climbed above the clouds (extra 2) the views were special. Wind blown snow on the summit ridge (extra 3) could easily have been the main today, looking towards our local peaks, which some of you will probably recognise. The main is of Josiane skiing off-piste with the Dents du Midi she grew up looking at. It’s so unusual to have no one else in the frame of this popular peak. 

Often I get home after a wonderful day out and think of all those who are now homeless and/or have lost family members in horrible situations. All because of where they had the misfortune to be born or to live. I read the news but cannot watch it. I don’t sleep at night if I do, but wonder how those people sleep. I am so fortunate and never take my luck lightly. 

Now I’m really tired so have escaped into another room while David watches the rugby of course, with a friend.
