Seaweed.

In many places in Zanzibar it’s possible to see seaweed drying on racks. It’s harvested by beach communities and sold to be used as an additive, in cosmetics and whatever else. I often come across these racks when manoeuvring through the warrens of alleys and houses that separate the beach from the main road.

This coast has such nice spots to sit and watch the ocean and beach traffic. So it felt rude not to sample happy hour with a cocktail in hand, again. I don’t usually drink solo, so I may have broken a personal record this week. But what else are holidays for than getting a bit fruity and raggedy.
