She arrived bright and early bearing a sunflower and a huge hug and it's been all go ever since! We've read books, played football, been to the beach (twice) swam and done some artwork! She went home rather grumpy as we confessed to not yet being up for a sleepover ( awake at 5.30 this morning) but promised we'd be up for it next weekend. She's grown massively, doesn't miss a trick, has a wild sense of humour and has been enjoying Wind in the Willows, sent by my brother. We're ready for bed!
And thanks for the commiserations re Himself's ring. Funnily enough there was a metal detectorist on the beach when we first arrived but haven't seen him again. .
