There was just time for a quick glimpse of the sea when we went to a funeral at North Berwick. The four people are standing beside the tidal pool which was built in the 1930s as a paddling pool and in the background is the Scottish Bird Centre with Craigleith island in the distance. The sand in the shade contrasted in colour with that in the sun.
