Snowdrops ( Galanthus nivalis )
The kitchen renovations at the Lodge start on Monday and the living room ceiling ceiling is being painted tomorrow. So there were still a few things to move out, curtains to take down and the lamp shades. Obviously a run out there was called for.
Under the trees in next door's garden there is quite a large patch of snowdrops. They are "further on" than any others I have seen locally, I suspect this is a case of suitable micro climate. They are in a sheltered spot at the top of a bank so cold air will flow down the slope.
