Faded Glory?

This is the cast-iron Lightbown Fountain presented to Whitehall Park in Darwen in 1886 by the Mayoress, Mrs Alderman T Lightbown. It will have cost a fortune (and I want my name on it!)

To say it has seen better days is an understatement, but it is still an attractive structure.

Imagine all the trees with 130 years less growth, a pool with flowing water from an upland stream, and water flowing from the actual fountain.
