Palm flower

This 30 m tall palm tree grows in our village garden, and has recently developed an impressive flower cluster. Lots of insects hover around it right now. In time, red fruit will develop and attract birds and fruit bats. I'm looking forward to these developments.

The palm might be one of two local species, Bangalow Palm or Alexandra Palm. Both are in the genus Archontophoenix.
