Think Cosmically, Act Globally
On This Day In History
1971: Apollo 14 heads for the Moon
Quote Of The Day
"You develop an instant global consciousness, a people orientation, an intense dissatisfaction with the state of the world, and a compulsion to do something about it. From out there on the Moon, international politics looks so petty."
(Edgar Mitchell)
Very happy to give the class extra time to complete their posters about tectonic plates today, now proudly displayed on the Learning Wall. No problem abbreviating the lesson on international aid agencies; we can pick up the rest at a later date. At least they are now aware of C.E.R.F., Oxfam, Medicine Sans Frontieres, U.N.I.C.E.F. and Action Aid International.
