I Earned it

We we went for a walk along the Basingstoke canal today from our house in Aldershot to the Swan (pub) in Mychett. The walk takes about an hour and we like to get there at about 11 so that we miss the lunchtime rush it is a very popular place as the food is always so good and they have a reasonable selection of real ale) The fact that it takes an hour to walk there means that when you get there you feel you have earned a good meal. Today I had salmon wrapped in parma ham topped with seared scallops with a salad of watercress, spiniach, green beans and chard and fondant potatoes it was delicious and I can never resist scallops. As the walk back is an hour as well you feel like you are walking off some of what you have eatern so it is a win win situation.
