Apples

Someone has dumped apples on the path. It’s not an accident as similar amounts of apples (looking like they’d been dumped a few days or weeks earlier) were nearby. They are probably from one of the apple trees that are on the nearby fields. I don’t know why people do this instead of letting them rot on or near the tree. I think it’s a shame to not use them in some way.
