I grew up in a brand new house.
It wasn’t posh.
But it was nicer than what people have to settle for these days.
It had galvanised steel window frames for a start. My mum kept them like that for over 60 years. Everyone else on the estate had gone for uPVC double glazing - the biggest architectural crime of the modern era.
