Hitman Heron...

Standing on one leg, hunched over by the water at Hampton Court, with the toes of his other foot pointing like a gun this young heron looked like an old school gangster.

It was a glorious sunny day, which was much needed after yesterday's soggy seaside trip, but even though there were snowdrops, aconites, cyclamens, crocuses, and even the odd daffodil flowering in the Wilderness Garden, it'll be at least another two months before I believe that spring is on the way!
