The benevolence of trees

A sentence from Jackie Kay's 'Red Dust Road' really resonated when I came upon it this afternoon. This morning we had walked at Aden and admired the snowdrops and fresh growth pushing through the leaf litter. Even the green moss on the tree trunk gave promise of approaching Spring.

The trees, in the extra - providing nutrients and shelter for wildlife and balm for the human spirit are in the tranquil Victorian Arboretum.
