Brush up.

Whose number is this ?
While I was cleaning my shoes, something I do now and again. I noticed this number on the side of it and turned it over to see the same number more prominently displayed on the other side.
Now going to have to investigate my father’s/grandfather’s service records as I think it may solve the mystery.
My dad and his dad always had a thing about our shoes when we were at school especially primary school.
Anyway solved today’s problem of what to blip.
