Realisation

Todays blip is a sort of realisation/confessional.
On my kitchen table is the result of a 10 min shop at the local fruit and veg stall. No veggies because didn't need to buy any today and for those of you wondering - Tomatoes are a fruit.
For years I have been moaning that I do not have time to grow food and have made several pathetic attempts to do so; last years pathetic attempt at maize and tomatoes was a case in point.
In the past I have even bought houses with a thriving vegetable garden because I was seduced by the rural idyll of personal food production. The veg plot has then demised into an overgrown mess of weeds and rubbish because I have failed to keep up with the regular routine of weeding, hoeing, planting and watering.
So, since everything you see in the blip cost little more than £10, and was obtained in less than 20 mins which includes getting to the stall and returning home, I have decided ------ I AM NO LONGER GOING TO GARDEN!!!!!!!!
I shall turn any garden I have over to low maintenance shrubs, annual flowering baskets, which will be planted up by garden centres, and leave the rest to decking, relaxing chairs and cold bottles of beer and wine. A much more pleasant prospect for the future. Relief!!!!!!
