In Their Own Words
Catching up …
Not much sleep, yet again…sigh. Half thought about going home after today’s exhibition … so sleep deprived I felt sick. But also felt committed to the next stages. At least the additional complicating element of the interview in Norfolk was no more. A relief in the end.
I texted C to say I’d be passing her door on my way back to the tube and suspected she might kill me if she knew (I hadn’t said because I just wasn’t sure it would be possible to manage in amongst all the disparate elements of this trip). I called in for coffee and toast on my way to the British Library where I was meeting R&Y to see the wonderful exhibition In Their Own Words, the focal point that this trip was planned around, back when R was in the lakes in early November…

Then I hopped on the tube back to C’s for a late lunch and more catch up before hitting the rush hour again and cramming myself on to the tube to Putney to my brother’s. What a rough old time they are having but Izzy is doing well in her first year of 6 form, Em is home on a year out of uni studies. I was in Grace’s room while she soaks up sunshine on her travels with her boyfriend.
